About BRON & 50 Years of Power to Perform

In 2024, BRON proudly celebrated 50 years of innovation, craftsmanship, and family-driven leadership. Founded on November 29, 1974, in Embro, Ontario, by Ron and Barb Hall, the company began as a small weld-repair shop focused on off‑road equipment. Today, BRON has grown into a global leader in utility plows, drainage plows, and forestry mulchers, supported by three generations of Hall family dedication.

Where It Began

Through Ron Hall’s ingenuity and hands‑on R&D, RWF Industries quickly evolved beyond repair work into custom fabrication. Early projects included:

  • Window‑washing platforms for the CN Tower
  • Repair and refinement of imported drainage plows
  • Development of the KC1000 utility plow
  • Earth‑moving scrapers and excavator bucket designs

From the start, BRON built a reputation for tackling specialized, one‑of‑a‑kind engineering challenges — from RTUs in Antarctica, to Cable Pullers in Australia, to Mine Sweepers for the U.S. Army.

Decades of Innovation

Throughout the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s, BRON continued to engineer purpose‑built solutions for utility, forestry, and drainage contractors. Major milestones included:

  • Expansion into custom forestry mulchers
  • Development of dedicated utility tractors and trenchers
  • A major relocation to Woodstock, Ontario in 2001, enabling manufacturing growth

The 2010s marked another leap forward as BRON introduced a modular design philosophy, improving versatility, serviceability, and speed to market. Opening a Michigan parts warehouse expanded distribution, while new Tier‑4f compliant machines met evolving global emissions standards.

A Growing Global Footprint

In recent years, BRON strengthened its international presence:

  • Launch of BRON Midwest in LeRoy, Minnesota
  • Introduction of the 450 Mulcher
  • Updated 250 Utility Tractor
  • CE Certification for the 175UT and all utility plow models, opening key European markets

These achievements reflect BRON’s commitment to building equipment that performs anywhere — in any condition.

Built by People, Powered by Partnerships

BRON’s growth has been shaped by:

  • Long‑standing partnerships
  • Key employees who pushed innovation
  • Local suppliers who supported expansion
  • A culture of resilience through economic challenges and global disruptions

Investments in automation, high‑capacity steel processing, and CNC machining have strengthened production capabilities, while a focus on internal efficiency and quality has ensured product consistency during demanding times.

Looking Ahead

A Family Legacy, A Shared Future

Under second‑generation leadership from Robert Hall, RWF Industries has grown to over 100 employees, marking a new era while preserving the company’s family‑run values. Today, third‑generation contributors Madison and Jacob help continue that legacy.

As BRON celebrates 50 years, we extend deep gratitude to our employees, customers, and partners whose trust and collaboration have shaped this journey.

With half a century behind us, we look to the future with confidence and with the POWER TO PERFORM.
